Expressionistic Chicken, by Jason Spiro, copyright 2001. I made this short film in my Lower East Side storefront hovel, some time around the turn of the century, improvising in front of the in-camera monitor of my VX-2000. The takes were editing using Avid XpressDV. At the time I was ignorant of the genius of Smigel's Triumph character--perhaps it's just the accent or the use a puppet but I may owe him a subconcious debt. In any case, I was not biting off someone else's act, I was just riffing on my pain using a rubber rooster puppet.
